Ingredients
1 1/2 cups of lukewarm water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry yeast (traditional)
4 cups whole wheat flour
1 pinch of salt
Directions
Stir sugar into water and add yeast. Let proof for 10 minutes.
Add flour to liquid mixture to form a dough on a lightly floured surface.
Separate dough into smaller sections and roll out into long ropes.
Twist the ropes into pretzel shapes and arrange on a reusable liner on a baking sheet.
Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 15. minutes until golden brown.
You can freeze cooked pretzels in sealed bags, or containers for later use.
